prettyyy!  by jamie isenstein

This is such an awesome idea!

I disagree that this is an awesome idea, unless the harp is dysfunctional…

Yeah, I’m with you there… Still, it’s pretty.

hey sup just curious do you really think that someone would have purchased a functional harp of that size just to put some yarn on it
reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally
idk people do this with book art too.  BUT OMG THE BOOKS THINK OF THE BOOKS
please give the artists the benefit of the doubt to have already thought of the books, and debated the message of using books as a medium, and decided to open themselves up to millions of people saying “well I only like it IF the book was REALLY UGLY ORIGINALLY” or something
like
there is a 99% chance that art worth the name that incorporates things that are usually valuable only incorporates said things if they are not going to be useful for any other purposes
either that, or the person making the art has the money to buy a freakin’ harp and turn it into a loom, in which case they are probably really fucking dedicated to the idea and no amount of BUT THINK OF THE PEOPLE WITHOUT ENORMOHARPS is going to get them to find a broken-down harp
idk it’s just like
these things don’t just appear out of nowhere, people do in fact think about them before dedicating huge amounts of time to creating them, I am sure they consider the ramifications of their actions but did not necessarily think that said ramifications would include a load of finger-shaking reblogs on tumblr
